Message from Principal

It is my distinct honor to welcome you all through the official website of Jaffna Central College, an institution rich in tradition with a proud history spanning around 210 years.

​As an alumnus and the new Principal of our college—the pinnacle of Jaffna—I take immense joy and pride in assuming this role. From the past to the present, our college has stood as an exemplar and a role model for schools worldwide across diverse fields including discipline, academics, sports, creativity, and the arts. It continues to shine as a glorious institution that has nurtured countless achievers and legends.

​These achievements and victories were not accomplished easily. The dedicated efforts and invaluable support of past principals, teachers, students, and our global alumni network—who continue to bring glory to the college worldwide—have been the defining factors of our success.

​An unbreakable bond of unity, a mindset that constantly reflects on the college’s well-being, and an unwavering commitment to upholding its prestige are the unique, firmly rooted traits that define our institution.
