Jaffna Central College student Vishnukanth won Sri Lanka’s silver medal in weight lifting at the South East Asia Games taking place in Malaysia.
He competed in the 77 kg class group.

Yet Another International Feat in Weight Lifting by Vishnukanth
Yes. It is our Vishnukanth proved his class in Weight Lifting by winning the Silver Medal in the under twenty 77 kg category in the South Asian Weight Lifting competition held in Malaysia on 28th of this month. Our Congratulations to this brave kid. He brought fame to the nation as well as our college for the second time.
I am sure this news will enthuse the entire Centralites living all over the world. At this juncture,I must thank the Canada, Sydney OBAs and the UK OB&GA for their generous contributions for Vishnukanth’s Malaysian trip.
